Teaching has become a very important part of my musical life. I really enjoy sharing what I have learned and accompanying each student on their own musical journey, helping them discover and enjoy everything that music has to offer.
I studied a Master’s degree in Music Pedagogy at the Hochschule für Musik Basel and have also had the opportunity to learn from inspiring string pedagogues such as Koen Rens and Mimi Zweig.
I am currently a viola teacher at Musikschule Konservatorium Bern, where I have my own viola class. My students range in age from 5 to 86, and I enjoy working with all levels, from complete beginners taking their first steps on the instrument to students preparing for a professional career.
Alongside individual viola lessons, I also teach chamber music and conduct a string orchestra. I am also a chamber music teacher at the Kammermusikwoche in Schwarzenberg.
For me, teaching is about much more than simply passing on knowledge. Every student is different, and finding the right way to spark their curiosity, help them grow, and, above all, enjoy making music is one of the things I value most about being a musician and a teacher.
